The International School in Digital Governance, in its second edition (2022/2023), represents a highly qualified monographic course in data protection, allowing participants to analyze the entire landscape of data governance in the digital age with a 360-degree view.
Following the great success of the first edition, the School in Digital Governance expands its training offering this year, allowing its participants, thanks to the agreement with TÜV Thüringen Italia s.r.l., to obtain certification for the qualification of “Data Protection System Expert”, a professional figure who is expert in supporting the Data Protection Officer and/or Privacy Manager in setting up the appropriate technical and organizational measures for the processing of personal data.
The Data Protection System Expert is able to guide and inform public and private entities to comply with the European Regulation and other data protection provisions, verify that the new regulations and company policies are properly implemented, and ensure the correct implementation of the processing of personal data.
Additionally, they carry out the operational activities that become progressively necessary throughout the life cycle of a personal data processing, collaborating with a managerial figure and participating in the verification, creation and maintenance of a data management and protection system based on the needs of the specific context. The profession can be performed either as a collaborator as an employee or as a freelancer, located in companies, private or public entities or public administration.
The Data Protection System Expert can operate, for example, as:
- Data protection officer
- Privacy representative
- Privacy consultant

The lessons of the International School in Digital Governance will be taught in Italian and English. They will be held in person, in the beautiful setting of the historical classrooms of the Main Campus of the University of Pavia, located at Corso Strada Nuova 65, in an intense and stimulating university context.
The course uses innovative teaching methods aimed at involving participants in the training and learning process. The course is intended to be structured with the following teaching components:

At the end of the lessons, taught by nationally and internationally renowned teachers, participants who have attended at least 80% of the lessons will have the opportunity to take the exam to obtain the qualification of “Data Protection System Expert”.
